Training Dogs With Clarity, Compassion, and Lasting Results
Helping dogs grow through structure, confidence, and emotional balance — not pressure.
Private, professional dog training designed to create calm homes and confident leadership. When dogs feel safe and understood, learning follows naturally.
WHAT I DO
I Help Dogs Feel Safe Enough to Learn
Every behavior has a reason behind it. My work begins with understanding your dog — their temperament, emotional state, and environment — before introducing structure.
Instead of forcing compliance, I create clear boundaries, consistent routines, and calm leadership that help dogs regulate and respond with confidence.
This approach supports:
- Reactive or anxious dogs
- Impulse control and leash manners
- Overstimulation and household tension
- Foundational obedience and structure
When dogs feel secure, they become steadier, more responsive, and more comfortable in their world. Training becomes less about pressure—and more about progress.

TESTIMONIAL
Real Progress, Real Trust
Working with Jessica at Rising Phoenix Dog Training has been incredible. We have a timid rescue, Teddy, and a fearless, high-energy puppy, Ellie, and Jessica has been amazing with both.
Teddy, who usually takes a long time to trust people, warmed up to Jessica right away, and his confidence has grown so much. Ellie has made great progress too, especially with leash training and channeling her puppy energy in positive ways.
“Jessica brings so much care, knowledge, and intention to her work.”
Jessica brings so much care, knowledge, and intention to her work. She even uses her own dogs to model behavior and helps us navigate everything from basic training to resource guarding. She’s not only helped our dogs thrive, but has given us the tools and confidence to support them every day.
We’re so grateful for Jessica! Our dogs adore her, and we truly feel lucky to have found her.
MEET JESS
Hi, I’m Jessica DeVoe—I help dogs learn through clarity, structure, and understanding.
For nearly 25 years, I worked in healthcare, supporting families through high-stress and vulnerable moments. That experience shaped how I approach dog behavior today—calm in uncertainty, observant without judgment, and focused on the whole system, not just the symptom.
As a professional dog trainer and behavior specialist, I believe effective dog training begins with emotional regulation — both for dogs and their owners. Because training isn’t about control—it’s about communication. leadership without fear, and trust built through consistency.
The Dogs Who Teach Beside Me
The heart of Rising Phoenix Dog Training lives in my own home. My dogs are not just companions—they are demonstration partners who model the balanced dynamic I help families build.
I intentionally work with a limited number of families so every program receives thoughtful, high-touch support.

What to Expect

What is your training approach?
My approach is rooted in clarity, structure, and emotional balance. Rather than using pressure or quick fixes, I focus on helping dogs feel safe, understood, and confident. When those pieces are in place, learning happens naturally.
Do you offer private training?
Yes—training is private and tailored to your dog, your home, and your lifestyle. This allows us to address real-life challenges in a way that feels practical and sustainable.
How long does training take?
Every dog is different, but many clients begin to notice meaningful changes within the first few sessions. Lasting results come from consistency, and I’ll guide you every step of the way.

Absolutely. Supporting dogs who feel overwhelmed, reactive, or unsure is a big part of my work. Together, we’ll focus on building confidence and helping your dog feel more at ease in their environment.

Yes—your involvement is essential. My goal is to give you the tools, understanding, and confidence to support your dog long after our sessions are complete.
